How fo find who is linked to a website

Hi all,

I am very new to SEO but also very keen! I really want to learn about it.

One thing I am trying to work out is how to find out which sites have backlinks to a given URL.

I want to know this as it will help me work out where I can place or try and place backlinks to my website. If that makes sense?

opensiteexplorer.org or majesticseo.com are good places to start.

You really need to use tools to analyse the links pointing to a website. ahrefs is another popular alternative to the above mentioned ones.

To find out the owners you can do a whois check unless they privately registered the website.

dont generate dofollow links.

Why on earth would you never create do follow lints, is there something wrong with them, what??

One purpose of backlinking is to acquire do follow links ! I try to acquire them all the time!

site with pr low than 4 is not useful for generating backlink..

There is absolutey nothing wrong with backlinks with pr3 or less. In fact they help.

Just past the website url in opensite explorer site you will find how many have links in that particular website.
