HOw can I get better results on Google

Google is the only search engine that I am not on the first page. I've also paid for SEO by 2 companies and still can't get listed on page 1 for DJ Kansas City. Anyone know what I can do to help this ? website is awesomedjz(dot)com

Not sure what was done but your not optimized very well for the term DJ Kansas City or Kansas City DJ. In fact it's horrible about 25 percent. Didn't check your link profile, but the key word is not a high competitive phrase.

What you can do is get someone from someone who knows what their doing. By quickly looking at your title, I think the last person was pretty much trying to rank you for all your phrases with your home page. A lot of weird techniques like black text with snippets of blue here and there...was that susposta be bold? The SEO is a mess.

A quick look shows me a number of things:

-You've got a good number of links, but after spending a few minutes sorting through them I don't see many that are of value. (Now, I didn't delve deeply into this so I could be wrong, but if you've got primarily directory links and blog comments these are not worth a whole lot.)

-Your home page is not at all optimized for your keyword. Try putting "DJ Kansas City" at the front of your title tag for starters.

-Your page is accessible via www and non-www and as index.html. These are canonical issues that need to be fixed.

I'm not sure that I agree with test that there is not much competition. I sifted through 6 pages of DJ's before I found you on the top of page 7. Were you previously ranking much higher? If so, then we need to dig in for possible reasons for a penalty or algo change issue.

I'm guessing you've hired cheap linkbuilders in the past but to get somewhere you're going to need some help with on page optimization first.

Im good on yahoo and other search engines....but google has my stumped.

I have been ranked higher but never first page. I have been anywhere from 2nd to the 10th depending on what I change. I am however on page 1 for Dj overland park and wedding dj overland park. My 2nd closest and biggest market area.

Additionally I am on page 1 for several Key Phrases, but Kansas City Dj and Kansas City Wedding DJ. Kansas City DJ being the top search phrase, and Kansas City Wedding Dj is the second.

I think you need to get the site optimized for your keywords...see where you go, Then work on links to get it where you need it, then continue to add links when you can.

Yes I was on page 1 with Wedding Dj kansas City and page 3 for DJ kansas City or kansas city dj.
I was told the keyphrase needs to be around 3% of the overal text, thats what I have been working on lately, its helped alittle but not enough.
I rank high for other phrases but not Kansas city DJ

Yes those are my main key phrases.

I can see what they added. when you copy and paste in FP the fonts usually aren't the same and it shows, you need to re-type it or go into the html side and fix the code...looks like they added the end of the first paragraph too.

I changed the fonts that I could find that were different, I don't see how much of a difference that makes though for ranking.
Do I want to place Kansas City Dj more often on the page ? I had it listed more often before but my page rank went to the bottom. Although I'm curious how I am ranking so well on google with DJ Overland Park.
