Homepage rooting and link building
Hey guys,
I would be more than happy if you can help me on this one.
Not so long ago, the domain of our company changed as we have expanded our business (I wasn't looking into SEO before, so now my task is solving this puzzle).
First the domain was www.***sports.com. Now what we intend to be the homepage is www.***marketing.com, while the previous homepage domain is now www.***marketing.com/sports. The problem occurs when we type in " *** Marketing" in google, and it seems as www.***marketing.com/sports is still site-mapped as a homepage, because I see all the other pages appearing in list under the link.
Am I correct that the problem is that the site-mapping didn't change, but only the domains? Also, I'm building up links to www.***marketing.com, and we got some serious ones from PR5, PR6 and such. Because of the wrong site-mapping they lose their power? Do we need to re-map the website?
Thank you so much!!!

Yes mate you are right, www. ***marketing/sports, is still sitemapped as homepage, you have to wait till Google cache it.!

thanks, I'm not familiar with this whole Google site-mapping process. Is there something that is required from us? And how soon this might happen?
Thanks a lot, much appreciated.
