    Help needed for H1 tags

    Hello

I need to ask here that which way is better for using h1 tags. Suppose my keyword is "Nokia 6600 Phone".

And I am using h1 like

    (1) <h1>Nokia 6600 Phone</h1>
    (2) <h1>Nokia 6600 Phone Specifications</h1>

Which one is better for this keyword's ranking. Whether I should put other words (e.g. Specifications) inside the tag. Or only the keyword itself is better as in (1) ?

    Thanks

If your still planning to use two Titles best to use H2 in the second.

    (1) <h1>Nokia 6600 Phone</h1>
    (2) <h2>Nokia 6600 Phone Specifications</h2>

Shift + back slash on a UK keyboard.

Can't imagine using | instead of / makes any difference to relevancy.

Does using this make any difference ?

    Nokia 6600 Phone|specification

What difference does the | sign make ? does it tell google that the keyword is Nokia 6600 Phone and that it should ignore the word "specification" ?

    thanks for your help

Sorry I am confused ? In the above posts jjohnston advocates use of | symbol to seperate the keywords in the h1 tag, and Fathom agrees. But if the | symbol doesnt mean anything significant to google why use it ?

Sorry for being Picky but youve both lost me now ??

ok..let me try to clear things up a bit...

If your primary keyword is "Nokia 6600", then make the very first heading of the page as

    <h1>Nokia 6600</h1>

Let's say after that you include a para on the specifications of Nokia 6600, then make a sub-heading as:

    <h2>Nokia 6600 Specifications</h2>

Subsequently if you want to add more content such as Nokia 6600 Reviews ; Nokia 6600 Accessories etc..then make <h2>s with those keyphrases such as.

    <h2>Nokia 6600 Reviews</h2>

    <h2>Nokia 6600 Accessories</h2>

    and so on....

However, I doubt if using the keyword "Nokia 6600" so many times can look spammy..so you can also add some more text around that keyword in the sub-headers such as:

    <h2>Nokia 6600 Specifications</h2>

    <h2>Reviews on the Nokia 6600 mobile phone</h2>

    <h2>Cool accessories for your Nokia 6600 handset</h2>

As for the word separators...| \ / or in fact none of these ~!@#$%^&*()_+ is going to make a difference from the SE ranks perspective if you add them within your headers but can confuse visitors...that's it!

    Helps?
