Google is showing different title for my page

    Hi,
My webpage title is <TITLE>Office Cleaning Service Melbourne - Queens Cleaning Services</TITLE>

But when i check Google serp with 'site:queenscleaning.com.au'. It is showing "Queens Cleaning Services: Office Cleaning Service Melbourne".
What is the reason behind this? Is there anything related to H1 tags ?

    Hai balu,

To make it quick (only have little time this morning) Google ca choose to modify both your title and description in its SERPs.
Generally when they do this it is because they think that the title they propose is better for the user and most of the time they use heading tags on your page for the modified page title.

But there is no absolute rule and most of the time it is due to a miss configuration of the site. Check your source code and see what your <title> is to make sure that Google actually modifies your title.

As TestOk stated: If you use Wordpress check your site name in Wordpress config.
If you use Yoast or All in One SEO check the plugin config it could be the cause of your problem.

I personally remove site name from the URL structure, except when working with a known brand in this case only I will use brand in the page title as it can increase CTR.

If Google decided to change your title for a specific query then there is no reason why you should be penalized.

If your site is queenscleaning .com .au On my side I see : Queens Cleaning Services: Office Cleaning Service Melbourne

NOODP is used only to avoid using the DMOZ description and your site is not present in DMOZ.org directory, so it wouldn't change anything for you.
By the way DMOZ is closing next week. So if you add this tag to your site you might maintain memory of a bit of the world wide web history... but it won't have any effect on your website.
