    Google Optimize

Trying to replace a button in Optimize, but it just brings up the alt tag. Tried editing the HTML and replacing with the correct file, but it doesn't work.

I wanted to change the button colour and, when I tried using the background colour, it didn't alter it.

Any ideas? Can't find any guidance online.

No because I'm not sure it's a HTML issue, but more I'm having difficulties with Google Optimize. You should be able to alter the colour of the buttons using the control panel but that's not working also.

There's very little guidance out there for Optimize...

It's not an html issue per se, it is a CSS issue. This site has a lot to offer, not just html specific.

You probably have some inherited styling over-riding the button. Easy to over-look.

I also think it's a CSS issue. But I would recommend using Firefox Inspector (Tools > Web Developer > Inspector) or Chrome Developer Tools (More Tools > Developer Tools) so you can play around with the CSS codes affecting the button and see the results right away.

Your question would probably get better responses if asked under Web Design, Coding, and Programming.

I don't think you'd get a better response on Web Design, Coding, and Programming, although I really do love this forum - that section is pretty much dead.

The best place to go for this kind of thing is stackoverflow to be honest. But the styling of a button is pretty basic stuff, Google may be your friend here.
