Google listing bouncing all over the place...

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas why our listing for the keyword "chapel hill real estate" is bouncing around so much... the web site is: www.chapelhillrealty.com and we were on the home page for a few hours or half a day over the past month or two then we drop back to page four or so.

its really strange. we show up on the home page, stay there for a half day tops, then back down again. in other words, about once a week or so, over the past two months, we show up front page, then back down...

any ideas? doesnt seem like the updating of google servers would be the reason (google dance?).

also, our webmaster account indicates we are moving up the rankings for that keyword.... dont know the correlation between the two..

thanks in advance.

Most likely new algorithm testings or devaluation/appreciation of certain types of links (footers, sitewides, reciprocals, directories, forum signatures...).

There's really nothing you can do about it besides focusing more on your website(s) content and/or marketing and SEO.

I'd just wait a little bit of time and then see where it's at. I've been having the same thing going on for one of my sites and it's finally starting to settle down.
