Hi seo.robinson,

It's difficult to get good quality links in the adult industry.
There are several tried and tested methods to get targetted traffic: Free porn sites (link lists), Galleries (TGP's) and even pic posts (not very useful in my experience).

One good method is to develop your own link list / TGP and list galleries/sites in exchange for backlinks but it takes a lot of time to set up, become established and deal with the huge number of submissions (and spam) that are generated (thought there are some good scripts out there to help with the admin').

Most of the big players own thousands of sites spread throughout thousands of servers, thus generating their own backlinks and the majority of others are happy to exchange links (3+ way exchanges are common).

One of the best resources is Greenguy & Jim's forum; not only for advice and contacts but their linklist generates some excellent quality traffic (and sells advertising).

You might also get some good advice from Voltar at VNWR (.com); he's a very helpul chap.

Porn industries has similar network of google. I think you should setup you own porn sites to get backlink. if will have to promote porn site, i would use this method:-
1. Purchase old porn sites(having 00 traffic and income but have good PR). you can easily buy that kinds of sites having PR 2-3 in $30-40. Lets your budget is $150/month. you can easily purchase 4-5 sites/month and can put your all porn link(you can even sell links).
2. After 6 month, you will have more than 25 relevant backlinks from high PR sites and having unique ips.
3. You will also get your investment back by selling links.

If you are starting a new porn website and would like people to find you on Google for some keywords, You would need to make a colosal SEO campaign because most of the pornsites out there are already ranked pretty high and to knock them out of they rankings would be very difficult.

The main reason is that most pornsites have been here for a very long time and they have a very high web authority and very old domain age. Web authority is the authority a website will have over others because it has been here for a very long period of time, it is very popular, it is trusted by the world wide web, and gets a tremendous amount of visitors daily.

Take Facebook for example they have a huge web authority and if they decided to optimize for the word social network, they would need a minimum of effort to appear #1 and they will most definitely stay there forever without needing further optimization.
The porn industry is huge and to get high ranked for keywords related to porn would be very hard.

If Google didn't like porn, they wouldn't return search results when searched. A friend of mine ranked very high in that niche for years. I never went into detail about his seo work, although he was #2 for years, but 3 way links was mentioned. Likewise, inter linking amongst your own network.
