Google EMD - Exact Match Domain

    Hey Guys,

I have a few exact match domains that got hit by the google EMD update..I still haven't been able to recover.

There are TON's of websites in front of me that have one page and are spammy type sites..I have full, original content, daily blog posts, etc...

Any tips on getting back to the first few pages ATLEAST??

There is no recovery from the EMD "penalty". All google did was take away the additional ranking benefit from having a EMD; its not a penalty.

The EMD update only affected sites that ranked purely because of the domain name. You need to look else where.

How are they working out for you? have you gathered a readership? do you have other website owners talking about and linking to your content? are you gaining facebook links and twitter followers?

There's a couple ways of recovering, removing the bad links and get new content on your site. if possible change the registrar put your domain under a different domain name. remember google is register as a registrar too. Pm me. ill send you send samples

This is true. And I think if the domain name is your only concern, maybe you are looking at the wrong factor. Are you really sure that the EMD update is the cause why your site dropped? Have you look at your link profile and the anchor texts that you used?

I think it would be more helpful if you will look for other factors especially the backlink profile of your site.

They rank for legit reasons (ie quality of content and backlinks), not because they have a EMD

If you were "hit by emd" why are you "getting rid of a bunch of links"?
