    Google click fraud

Isn't it interesting that google never admits to Adwords account holders that fraudulent clicks have taken place but then files a lawsuit against an Internet operation that it claims systematically clicked on text ads to defraud its advertising network.

    Full story here

Now will it compensate the Adwords accounts... I wonder???

I can attest to that. I have received click fraud credits even though I was unaware that it had occurred.

Yeah they do, they refund you money. Why would they want to email everyone adword customer to let them know they had some click fraud issues. Would be chaos. Just refund the money instead, its nicer, quieter, and a good sign things are being monitored.

Agreed. You have to assume there is going to be fraud with everything and adwords is no different. It's good they actually reimburse advertisers for it.

In the same space of time; I've never seen a credit from overture for fraudulent clicks; and you can almost be sure it does happen.

Yeah Overture is another story. In order to get refunds from them you have to contact them about it. They do have systems in place to catch click fraud I am sure, but I doubt they go to the level Google does recently.

    Thumbs down Click fraud...

AdWords are not that bad but Content Ads (AdSense) are another story! See attachment.

I've complained about click fraud and never heard anything back. Of course it happens. I know my competitors are clicking on my ads. Why not? Ding your competitor a few bucks. Even at one click a day, after a few months or a year it adds up to hundreds of dollars. Sure it sounds unethical, but they do it all the time.

So does that mean that you also click on your competitors ppc links?

Seriously I do not know why you don't start advertising with CPA programs like darkblue.com, with PPC you are only getting the **** traffic.

I have some really good domains that have high quality traffic and I send it to CPA programs because I know that it will convert and I will earn more through CPA.

Also, the advertiser can choose which was a real sale and which was a fraud sale and doesn't have to pay out.

It seems that with CPA you are more dependant on the actual conversion rate of what you are advertising. You can be better off or worse, it just depends.
