Getting Backlinks

where is a good place to go to find back links. We really do not have that many back links and want to find places with high page ranks, so we can get back links.

Maybe you can get a link from your mom's blog?

If you want a more specific answer then tell us something about your site.

No I tried, my moms blog, but she doesn't have good page rank. You understand, with now-a-days not to many people interested in websites for smart people. <snip>

All I was looking for is a valid good website where people can go to request back links with each other. All most like a match for back links. A website you can go to, look through categories and it has a list of websites who would be interested in exchanging links.

Joining forums can give you a lot of backlinks. Try to search it in google for "high pr forums". But it's better to join forums that is related to your site content.

I find that article marketing works very well for getting backlinks from high PR sites. Try ezinearticles and goarticles

More general sources of backlinks - directories, blogs, forums, social bookmarking sites, etc.

Keep your link building targeted as they are also potential sources of direct traffic.

Try out Link Metro. They allow you to create an account for free and to begin setting up link exchanges immediately.

Lemmie know what you think?

Try web directories and link trading places like linkmarket.com

But one thing you can be sure of, that none of these places will give you links that will give tangible results in the SERPs...those are good for just increasing the number of backlinks but no significant difference. And all those links that will make a difference...they are hard to get and should be earned..

Start approaching the webmasters of relevant websites. Not by mass email, but with personal emails or phone calls.

Building a relationship is the best way to get good links. It takes more time, but the links will last longer and be worth more than directories, forums, and weak article submissions.

You may want to clarify this general half-untrue statement.

Social bookmarking is a good way to make people aware of your unique quality pages and articles in order to find people interested in linking to you naturally.

Most all SB's use no follow, which is not a good backlink. The major and basically only value in social bookmarking is to draw attention to different pages and specific articles and build short bursts of targeted traffic. Though this depends entirely on the quality of your content.

SB's are a marketing tool. It has little to no direct SEO affects.

I think, best way to get back link is free classified which allows you to promote your services as well along with your contact detail. thus your business will promote along with approved back link.
