Flash Now Search Engine Friendly, Adobe Says
With the launch of a Flash-reading tool from Adobe, marketers can factor Flash into their SEO efforts, instead of compensating for the presence of Flash...
SWF searchability FAQ This is huge....., I wasn't expecting this to happen so soon frankly. |

And here is Googles take on it.
Google Webmaster Central Blog From what I am reading it's only really Google and Yahoo that are able to read flash at the moment (due to working with adobe), and it's specifically the text within flash rather than a form of OCR. Still a groundbreaking change, and I'm with JJMcClure I didn't think this would be happening for a while. Those of you with flash already could probably expect a boost, those without (like me), well if sites with flash are moving up..... First blackhat use has to be just around the corner. |

I saw this on the other forum and this will be pretty interesting, a good news especially for those sites who uses flash.
