Few Searchers - Competetive Market
Hi there
I am a complete novice who works for a small b2b company that provides network management software.
We are currently paying for a enw website to be written as we are hoping to generate sales leads from our website, the website is to be written by professionals with optimisation in mind.
When discussing the SEO stage the ranking company basically said there is not much they can do for us due to the big namecd competition out there.
I have this morning been using wordtracker and what i have found is that all our keywords are either:
a) Not getting loads of searches
b) Got thousands of competing websites
The KEI score is below 5 on most fo the words and the higher scores don't really relate to our business.
So where does this leave me?
Do i need to focus on the words with least competition and ignore the KEI score?
Is natural SEO not really a route for me in this circumstance am I better off just looking at pay per click? Problem is that if that competetive I think will be out of our budget.
We don't need hundereds of leads per day (we couldn't cope) as the order value is fairly high.
Could do with som advice as doesn't really fill us with confidence when ranking company tell us we have bob all hope!
Really would appreciate any help.
