Each page is indexed seperately!
Sound obvious dosen't it but took me a long time to realise this.
I had (wrongly) assumed that the search engines established keywords from each page and combined these to create a full index of all pages for the entire site, unfortunately this is not the case. Assume I have two pages one has a keyword 'Software' and the other about us page has our location 'London' as a keyword. Each works seperately but if someone searches on 'Software London' nothing is found because they are both on different pages. Anyone know how to work around this behaviour. Nick |

Milocold,
I wonder why SEO marketers show off there main sites, point out some things that just are not safe (for them to point out) and then argue about who is the better marketer. They are both very good. I am new to this forum and love their abilities and the things I have learned from just reading. To me search engine marketers should never rank their main site. Hell renegade even goes so far as to use keywords on his images. Bravo! From my perspective it would be best to take a little bit from each optimizer on these chat forums and use what is repeated over and over. Then you will be safe and never sorry. Good luck to you! |
