Doorway pages to be banned?

I'd like to know your point of view regarding doorway pages for Google top ranking...

We are all SEOs and I think our job it's to optimize a web site, not to bare the search engine's crawler.

Do you agree?

One word: BAD! I report any doorway page I find.

I use too to report doorway pageg, expecially when I find them from my competitors web site. Just to tell you...

'Til last week my web site was first on search results about "consulenza web" keyphrase.
From monday I found in front of our position 4 doorways pages of two competitors... and this is what Google says about spamming, cloaking and doorways?

Tell you one thing. Its a bad doorway page setup. It gets the job done though!! If they wanted to do it right, they would have a doorway page and you would never be able to tell. Report them.

If the doorway page is on the correct topic and gives the surfer what they were looking for where is the problem?


Is it fair that big companies just happen to be in the top positions for major keywords that are not even on their website?

The top doorway page only has 32 internal links to it. www.creativitalia.it has no links to it other than yahoo and dmoz. Why don't you spend your time doing proper seo instead of wasting googles time and defaming your competitors because you could not "figure" out the google algorithm as well as your competitors did.

It's a way to bare the crawler and it's not allowed reading what Google's faq tells.

maybe you are not a pros about SEO but my company it's for all keyphrases I need to on Google's first page results and these results are the same for all my clients.
My post was only a question about what "forum" thinks about doorway pages use on Google.

I did help him, I said his competitors site has 32 internal links while his had only the two. Sorry for the flame, but I think reporting your competitors as spam is hypocritical.

Sorry? have you seen my website? If you don't know, please don't write fools. Look to my company website, the link is down here and find a lot of services and a lot of internal links, no hiddens links, no doorway pages, only a good Web strategy.
