I am not thinking SEO here. Whenever you have something that is breaking the vision for a site, I think it is best to put it elsewhere. It is probably quite easy to convince you boss that putting it on a server in Guam will supercharge the search engine rankings. |

SEO wise you are better NOT to place the pages on separate domains due to link popularity/PageRank issues. It would take time for you build up the pagerank required to compete with competitive terms and there is no need to have extra domain hosting costs so long as you structure your website well and your pages are well interlinked. With pages hosted on the same domain you will inherit the PR from other pages on your site. Not so with a brand new domain which would start with PR0 and would take time to build up link pop.
