Doorway page redirect advisable?
Hi
If my main website is "abc.com", what do you guys think about if I have a SEO create doorway pages using another url "xyz.com" to bring additional (redirect) traffic to my main site "abc.com"? Is this advisable? I was thinking I could be found more frequently (up to 2x) when someone is searching for the same keywords. |

I would not recommend this since it is a violation to Google's quality guidelines.
However this practice does work, and might bring you some additional traffic, just make sure that you don't link back to the junk domain from your main domain. |

Again, not advisable, as stated that's on Google's list of definite no-nos!

Quote:
this technique is generally not employed to target 'the same keywords' as you say. 2 sites in the top 10 for the same keyphrase will not really 'double' your traffic. the best it will accomplish is knock a competitor to the next page.
