Does the title attribute of links help?

hi all,

I have a question to pose to everyone out there.

Does the title attribute that you can add to link tags (eg <a href="http://www.seochat.com" title="SEO Chat">SEOChat</a>) have any effects on search engine optimization?

Is this a good spot to sneak in some keywords?

it helps to put keyword specific words that are relevant to the link in the title tag.

to "sneak in some keywords" is considered SPAM.

It doesn't carry much weight - if any. It's good to use these for the other reasons (usability being the biggest).

Send a message via ICQ to Marcel
I may be wrong, but I think most Netscape versions (especially pre-6) don't support the title="" attribute.
