Does the number of indexed pages matter serp ?
Hi,
I just wanted to know does the number of indexed pages matters Serp and SEO ? The keyword which i am optimizing has 1 million results in google but every sites i am getting at the top 10 position have above 2000 pages indexed in total. I am worried because my website will be only of 10-20 pages. So will i be able to rank in top 10 ? Thanks In Advance. |

Google Loves Content and a website with 2000+ pages has connected with each pages with content so it increase its internal linking with reference link and so google consider it as good source of information. Second The age also matter here.

The sheer number of pages doesn't mean that a site will win out in the SERPs. If you can create more relevant, easily found (links from external sites, structure of your site, etc) content, you can potentially beat any site. Don't worry about trying to match their volume right out of the gates as they've probably been at it for a while; generate content people will want to see and build your site to be user- and SEO-friendly and you'll be fine.. |

Agreed, also do not forget with a more broard selection of topics on your website and more content, the chances are you will hit very niche traffic from long tail keywords etc. |
