Does the flash detect code affect Page Ranking?

Hello Everybody,
I've designed a flash heavy website and have since decided to do an html version for those that can't view flash objects.
I am worried that if I put a flash detect code into my index page that it would have a negative effect on my current page ranking.
Does anyone know if this is would affect my page ranking or have any suggestions on what else I can do?
