Do we have hidden text on page?

We have recently run WebPosition's Page Critic on one of our pages:

xxxhttp://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/A75/A75A.HTM

One of the things it says is that it appears we have hidden text on the page. We know we don't, because we don't use that practice on our site anywhere, so the only thing I can think of that is making the page critic say that is our setup of table headings (white headers on a dark colored table cell).

What is the possibility that we would be penalized for this? Should we look at recoloring those headers to avoid any potential problems (and this is not an easily done thing, as we have over 500 reviews that have this type of table setup).

Thanks!
Yazmin

Yes, it always says this for me too! I think it is some kind of a bug with the software. Don't worry about it!

I found what is is looking at about 1/2 down the page there is a hidden line but it has no text on it I can see were it would pick it up. Highlight the page down or up and it will show up on the right side about 1/2 down. The program is correct but incorrect as their could be hidden text there but there is none all it is reading is there is something in the text.

Thanks Dan.

Those are SSI variables which are causing that gap. I can't do anything about that unfortunately.

Hi keysupplements,

Are you talking about the line that appears right before the External Controls section?

i think you should split the page into multiple bits so its easier for the reader i.e. a new page for every title bit. The extra anchor text could help your site also in the SERPS. Nice site btw ;)

We have even longer reviews which we do split up into different sections. We were getting ready to re-do our site so it runs off PHP more than static pages, but we got tied up on other stuff (as usual).

Thanks for the compliment on the site. We appreciate it.
