Post Difference betwn sitename.com & www.sitename.com

Hello People,

I am facing a small problem. The site I m working on has good listing but earlier search keyword results in google were linking to www.sitename.com whereas today they are linking to sitename.com which is a problem for my client.

Is this a SEO problem or the problem is at google's end.

Hope you will help me out.

Thanks in advance,

Its an SEO problem. What you are describing here is URL canonicalization. Have a look at the SEO Chat FAQ at you will see what needs to be done.

It is not an uncommon problem. Just follow the advice in the FAQ and you will be fine.

I think it depends on what browser you use..FF and google takes you or redirect you automatically, on IE it takes you to google...
