    Content syndication

    Hey everyone -

I read an interesting strategy of how a guy (James Clear) built his list to 100,000 in 2 years using
content syndication. He wrote a post on his own site. Then, he emailed editors of blogs to let them
know the post may fit their audience.

I'd like to try it because it scales quite well. 2 questions:

    1) If I do this, will posts I choose to syndicate get nailed by duplicate content filter? Or will Google
pick up I'm the truly original author?

    2) How would you strategize finding websites that do syndication like this? I know of some. But,
don't have a good way of identifying others.

    Appreciate your feedback,

    Dan

what duplicate content filter ? there is none.

It maybe the fact if they publish your content then they may outrank you as they may have a more powerful site. But that is not a content filter thats simple SERPS

I must admit I have never understood why authors write articles to then give them away, I know your hoping for a backlink but you would need to get a lot of takers and spend a lot of time writing before this has any major effect. Others may very well disagree with me.

Google used to have a duplicate content filter, yes? I heard talk that it used to remove duplicate content from its SERPs entirely. Is that no longer the case?

Yeah, I'm familiar with outranking. Makes sense.

if there are simular content from the same site then google will group them together and often you will get a option to expand that within search.
That is very different though to duplicate content.

Currently running a large scale test on this which if you have not already read you can have a read here Duplicate content myth
Its been 6 months now so we will be releasing a update soon.
