Typically when you perform a search on Google....

Your IP address plays a part in search results returned, so ideally you would want to test the search from different locations

Your past history of searches is also factored it, especially if you are logged into a Google Account

Your search query also plays a part in the results returned, for instance "restaurants near me" will return very localized results.

Tools generally do not log in to a Google account, have a mechanism for searching from different IP locations.

This is especially true for Google. Google can be told to return results from approximately 100,000 locations from across the globe. Most folks do not understand how to craft such search queries, but tools are very adapt at it.

With a tool I can get results for 100 keywords from 9 different search engines in under 20 minutes, and they are extremely accurate !

I have better things to do with my time than to manually scrape Google and the other SE's for ranking results.

No, It doesn't show correctly! you should check each and every keyword separately.

I think though you check keyword ranking with a tool. You should check it manually from different locations and without login in Google. Though keyword ranking checker tools work best but at least one-time manual check after the specific duration is more preferable.

I am going to share a tactic so those that don't have access to rank tracking tools can get accurate results for no cost.

This only works from the aspect that it provides mobile results only, but then we are in a mobile first situation with Google to begin with.

    Step 1
Install Bluestacks on your computer. Now Bluestacks is not an easy app to run. It is an Android Emulator and takes some horsepower to run. If you have problems with Bluestacks go to their tech support to get help.
(you will need a fairly good computer with a min of 10 Gigs of memory, just my rule of thumb recommendation.)

    Step 2
Install the Chrome App for Android in Bluestacks. Test it make sure you got it working.

    Step 3
Install Fake GPS App for Android. Make sure you turn off your location in Chrome.

Now you can run Fake GPS and pin your location anywhere in the world that has Cell Phone Towers. This will be the IP that is sent to Google when you do a search. I actually learned this trick a few years ago from my good friend Kazuma's children. They would change their IP address to find new pokemongo monsters. It's amazing what you can learn from kids today.

Hope this post helps some of you overcome your search limitations.

The correct way to check the ranking is manual i.e. search one by one keyword. But one thing is important "Should use IP switcher when you check your ranking" Must check in private window.
