Cold Fusion SEO
Hi I have done very well with php and ASP sites in the past getting top rankings in a very competitive industries.
now i have a new site that is quite old and running cold fusion. I have never worked with this be before and i am not a programmer i find all the naming of hte URL are uploaded with a ID number like index.cfm?type=1&newsID=3645 and are dynamic. i can do head content for any inside pages any help? also is there a difference SEO'ing Cold fusion sites vs php, ASP or .net sites? |

If the URLs are indexed and you can view the search engine's cache of the page there is no big problem.
IF there is a Session ID that looks something like SESHID=97hg3g93ytth Then you need to remove that. The backend script used to make a site whether its PHP ASP or CFM it all returns HTML markup to the browser or requesting client. This means that it makes no difference what back end you use. You can do URL rewrites for long dynamic URLs to more search engine friendly ones but it is not a major problem anymore. As long as the URLs are indexed, return HTML code and have a cache page in the search engine you are good!
