Changing from index.html to index.shtml
I need to change my index file to .shtml from .html
Does anybody know if this can affect SERPS or anything else for that matter. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Add a 301 redirect and the spiders will still find the correct page. As far as whether it'll affect your rankings? Dunno. I recently did this and am still waiting to see what happened...
