I have recently started a new business which I called RoadMate and bought the same domain. For legal reasons I had to stop calling the company RoadMate but I can still continue using the same domain. I have changed the company to RoadPal and now wish to buy that domain. But, I have optimsed the site which is now doing well in all the search engines and dont want to start all over again! Is there a way around this?

how about using 301 redirect so your new domain can gain the same pr from your old domain

A 301 redirect will allow you to keep the Page Rank, however your anchors will be incorrect, and you'll be optimized around the name RoadMate. You'll have to get out an rebuild a network a relivant anchorlinks for the new word RoadPal.

Why not redirect the new site to the old site then if you don't want to redo all your links.
