    Best way to structure site...

I am planning on adding a lot of secondary keywords to my SEO strategy. But I am stuck on the best way to structure my site.

For example, if I am going to add 1,500 secondary keywords, and I have no more than 2-3 keywords per page, at a minimum, I will be adding about 500 new pages. My question is...how do I link those pages into my site? There are far too many keywords to try and link naturally into my existing pages. Should I just add a sitemap and have a link for each page, or several sections with SEO pages linked from them?

For instance, my site structure might look like this:

    Home
    -- About Us
    -- Services
    -- Testimonials
    -- Portfolio
    -- How It Works
    -- Contact Us
    -- FAQ
    -- Site map
---- Keyword Section 1 (this might have 10-20 related keywords, that link to optimized pages below)
    ------ SEO Page 1
    ------ SEO Page 2
    ------ SEO Page 3
    ------ SEO Page 4
    ------ SEO Page 5
---- Keyword Section 2 (this might have 10-20 related keywords, that link to optimized pages below)
    ------ SEO Page 1
    ------ SEO Page 2
    ------ SEO Page 3
    ------ SEO Page 4
    ------ SEO Page 5
---- Keyword Section 3 (this might have 10-20 related keywords, that link to optimized pages below)
    ------ SEO Page 1
    ------ SEO Page 2
    ------ SEO Page 3
    ------ SEO Page 4
    ------ SEO Page 5
---- Keyword Section 4 (this might have 10-20 related keywords, that link to optimized pages below)
    ------ SEO Page 1
    ------ SEO Page 2
    ------ SEO Page 3
    ------ SEO Page 4
    ------ SEO Page 5
    etc.

So as you can see, all my SEO pages fall under the sitemap page. My concern with this structure is that it all starts with the sitemap, so it isn't spread out very well. If I have 500 pages all linked under sitemap, with very few pages linked under the other pages, does this hurt me with SEO? It just appears to be very hierarchical.

Anyone have any comments or suggestions? Maybe I am over analyzing this.

    Thanks!

the question - what is the content of each page going to be?

Visually it appears as if your are creating 'doorway pages'?

Thanks for the reply. Each page would contain the optimized secondary term. Probably 250-400 words of content related to it, along with proper title tags, description, H1 tags, etc.

Is this a doorway page if they contain information about each term?

Well "if" the text copy is the original - no not a doorway page.

If however, the text copy is primarily a carbon copy and "onlY" editing a few words as per the new optimized phrase... I would recommend avoiding this.
