Hello
Would it be a goof idea to get a banner designed for backlinks or put a small text link (just like the one i have in my signature)?
Does the size of text link matter?

If you could have both - banner ad with text underneath - that is always good. Though you'll find many linking partners do not
allow banners on their sites when linking.

Most sites would probably change the URL to a tracking URL so it might not do you any good anyways.
