    Backlinks from classified ads sites

    Hey everyone,

there are many classified ads websites where you can post for free and leave a backlink within your posting. Some of them might be dofollow, most of them most likely will be marked as nofollow.

Are they any good, what do you think?

It is hard to say without knowing the exact classified site you are trying to post on, and also its own backlink and authority profile. But one thumbrule with respect to link building that is always true is that the best links are often the hardest to get. In other words, if the link is easy to get, then it is not worth much at all - worse, it may end up ruining your rank too..

Regarding Backlinks from classified ads sites

Before posting the classifieds the main thing is choose the correct category for your post. So kindly try to avoid unrelated category post.

We know very well that in nofollow google bot will not crawl the link and will not pass any link juice, it will not help to increase PR of sites but in dofollow google bot will crawl the link and pass any link juice and it will help to increase PR of sites.

    • ClickyB agrees : Google will crawl the link anyway, it just won't pass any "link juice".

You guys are giving rather misleading advices here. I advertised very actively in classified sites because I want the customers to contact me directly. Whether it boosts my Google PR or pass link juice to my site is immaterial as my customers contact me directly via my Ads in the classified sites. Seems like everyone here is into affiliate marketing and none of you are in direct face to face contact with the customer.

    • ClickyB agrees : But it won't help with your site SEO (which is the basis of the question/forum).

No-follow and Do-follow both links are important for search engine.
Well before submitting your website in any classified site. Always remember the below points.

    1. check the Page and Domain Age

    2. Check the index pages

    3. Check Domain/Page Authority.

    4. Check the link type accepted - (Anchor Text, Direct Links, Text etc)

Links from classified ads would be largely discounted for SEO purposes so you should only advertise in classified ads sites if you are interested in getting traffic from that site, not to try and gain any link juice.

You would post to classifieds if that's a tactic in your business model. It's not a direct tactic for higher rankings. You may get a temporary link but your focus shouldn't be devoted on acquiring classified links. Classified websites are not worthy tactics for link building. But go ahead and use it if it means you sell more widgets in your locality.

Classified sites are important for backlink purpose and also if your business is targeting the local market.
You can add your links but make sure that the classified sites are following the google algorithm criteria. check the frequency of adding post and pages index in Google.
