Anyone have tips for getting indexed fast

just want to say thanks first for all the great info here..

now my question.. I have a site i really want to get indexed fast, are there any handy ideas to get indexed fast into google..

I have heard if you get a link from a blog that can help you get indexed within 48hrs

Doesn't have to be a blog. Get a link to your site on any site that google visits often. It's not difficult to be 'found'.

Look for a strong link from the homepage of a site that does well in Yahoo and Google.

thanks but how can i get that without no rank? noone in their right mind will place me on their homepage without any rank

if your site is having relevancy on what you are trying to provide, You will get good BL from reputed sites. So keep on with your site, make it more sexy...and you can solve your problem. No need to worry about PR.

I have one page listed in DMOZ already 15 days, another 10 days (plus they have low number of backlinks). They have not been indexed by GG yet.
It takes between few hours and few weeks until a site get indexed by google. Backlinks from frequently indexed sites make it faster, anyhow the luck or random factor remains in place.:|

Although all the answers are correct for precisely what you are asking, you need to take into consideration that even if you were indexed within minutes, that means nothing for people actually finding you. Even if that "magical blog" got google to find you, it will take many months of hard work to actually rank anywhere decent. I suggest you take a look through the FAQ in my signature and change your focus to being Top 10 for a few keywords rather than just letting Google know you exist. You will benefit a great deal more from that approach.
