Any tips for launching my site redesign?

I am working on a complete site redesign and will be launching it shortly.

I won't be able to test my links in my new site until it is live because each of the links uses the full url.

Does anyone have any tips that will help me make the transition as smooth as possible?

Is this a template change or a total rebuild?

If I template change then the URLs of your content will probably not change.

However, if you are doing a rebuild it is very important to keep your old content on the same URLs.... or use 301 redirects.

You probably know this stuff... just tossing it out because it is the most common cause of disaster.

Also, are you preserving your optimization? That means... title tags staying the same, H1, content, site navigation structure?

Again, a template change will probably preserve this... but if not you want to either preserve or try to make a big improvement.

For the most part it is a template change. My page names are all remaining the same. Most of my titles and tags are the same (except where I could see opportunity for improvement.)
