Anchor Tag - How Do Search Engine's See It?
I have 3 main phrases for my homepage. Lets use PC, Desktop, & Laptop as an example. I want all 3 words to be separate keywords for my homepage.
1. Do I need to create 3 separate links using the 3 separate keywords? 2. Can I create a link and use “PC, Desktops, & Laptops” as my Anchor Tag? Will the search engines see all these as separate keywords or will it associate the entire string as the keyword for my site? 3. Will the “,” and “&” screw things up? Thanks all! |

I would avoid the ampersand - you should be able to get it to work by using character encoding as such:
"PC, Desktops, & amp; Laptops" (space inserted for display) but why take the chance? Either don't use it all or just use the natural conjunctive "and". Commas won't hurt at all. I would create a number of different links, and build backlinks in all 4 different variations (each of the 3 terms alone and together). This ensures a greater saturation.
