Alternative Viral Marketing Ideas

Hi All,

Need a little help again.

I am launching a service that caters to blog owners, myspace owners, website owners and so on, and I need ideas other than PPC and webgains and affiliate sites on how to get it out there to this demographic (+18 - 25 m/f).

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I need things outside the box, and cost isn't a big issue.

That age group is probably the hardest to cater for... Humour always goes down well, perhaps funny videos for youtube. Create a good one and you will have untold thousands of 18-25 year olds viewing it.

Since "cost isn't a big issue," maybe you could pick out a few popular IM blogs, and have your tool reviewed?

You don't want to attract 18-25 via search or content network ads or affiliate ads --

I don't really understand what you're driving at...

outside of the web box... print ads? ...like real bookmarks?

Maybe its worth developing a face book app?

Not knowing the product I couldn't speculate on exactly what thay might be.

Given that this completely falls inline with your target demographic and the fact that it is one of the best viral marketing tools available it could be dynamite!

Create an app that captivates that market and you should see a lot of links and traffic right from your target market!

Hi Fathom, I eliminate those because I already have that in the plans.

The tool is a wordpress plugin that gets my chosen kw's and converts them into links...sitewide if selected in the options.

Its a step ahead of what linkxl is doing as its undetectable.

What I wa\nt to do is offer a premium for this demographic (one of the few that's not too exploited) that have wordpress blogs, forums or sites and have link real estate.

You can probably figure out the rest from there, if not email me and I'll spell it out better.
