    Question Alt text

While posting an article we do post pictures as well with alt text. My question is can alt text used on image affects keyword density? If yes how does it affects the keyword density.

if you use a term to often, yes it will be seen as keyword stuffing, alt-text for images are also considered in this calculation.

You make reference to "keyword density", an old and outdated metric. Let me explain...

Instead of how often or you mention a certain term or phrase, you should be thinking how to succinctly describe your topic in depth. Then provide a proper description in alt-text that describes the picture and the relationship to the article.

A quick answer is no, they don't!. Keyword density only refers to text content.

And as it was mentioned before me, that is an old term no longer matter.

General rule of thumb is to make sure the alt of your image is relevant to the actual image. For example, if you put image of cow but alt tag says chocolate milk, then that is not correct alt tag where the correct alt tag would be "Cow producting milk"

Image ALT text can not affect on keyword density. Keyword Density is calculated on your content only.

Simply, Alt text is not considered by Google as a keyword density, some time ago alt text was considered in keyword density. Now Alt text or alternate text is an attribute added to an image tag in HTML. The purpose of alt attributes is to provide a description or an identity to an image.
