Agency SEO vs YOAST which one should trust?

    Hi guys.

I have some problems with the guy from the agency that takes care of the my website.

Is 1st month doing seo with an agency.

They got me new content for almost all pages during this month.

The gays says that pages are doing well but YOAST (paid) says different.

    Loads of problems in RED.

I'll attach photos here but not sure how....

    -Here are the RED probkems
    :

Keyphrase in introduction: Your keyphrase or its synonyms do not appear in the first paragraph. Make sure the topic is clear immediately.

Keyphrase density: 0%. This is too low; the keyphrase was found 0 times. Focus on your keyphrase!

Keyphrase in meta description: The meta description has been specified, but it does not contain the keyphrase. Fix that!

Keyphrase in title: Not all the words from your keyphrase "Candyfloss Cart" appear in the SEO title. Try to use the exact match of your keyphrase in the SEO title.

    Improvements (2)
Outbound links: No outbound links appear in this page. Add some!

Keyphrase in subheading: Use more keyphrases or synonyms in your subheadings!

Also Focus keyword is "coffee machine" although I hire coffee machines and should be "coffee machine hire".

    Isn't that wrong?

    Any advice is really appreciated.
    Thank you.

Didn't you get in touch with Thomas Harvey?

Not to sound brutal, but, I would stop back seat driving. Learn SEO and do it yourself, or pay for someone to do it for you - but don't do both!

We can't accurately say they're doing right or wrong unless we audit their work. But that would cost money. Money which you should be spending on a professional. If you don't trust them, but you trust our advice over their work - you should have listened to our original advice when we said hire someone reputable who is trustworthy.

Not to say I don't understand where you're coming from! I know it's horrible handing over your hard earned money to some randomer and HOPE they do a good job. But, you have either got to 1. Go with someone reputable so you can sleep at night or 2. Go with a company you don't trust and hope for the best.

If you have basic knowledge of SEO then you can do SEO by itself. i don't think so you have to hire an agency for SEO. Yoast SEO is a plugin which is used for the Wordpress site. It may happen that some agency are not working in a proper way.

I would never trust a plugin to do SEO.

It is better to talk this out to your hired SEO agency. Yoast follows their own SEO standards, which can be different from what your hired SEO was doing. And yes, I would agree that this is a plugin for SEO which posts a lot of mistakes. SEO audits should be done manually by an expert.

One question, have you bothered to track traffic and conversions of your site ? If traffic and conversions are rising then I would say they are doing there job, if not, then they are not. But it would take maybe six weeks to start seeing a change in rankings and any trends in traffic, either no change, a decline, or increase.

This would be the yard stick I would hold them accountable to. Bottom line are they costing less than the business they're bringing in?
If you have never failed in your life, you have never achieved anything Noteworthy !
