I was gonna get my GED (good enough deploma) and then do one of those classes at home, but I took the money and now I am a GAP (Google Advertising Professional), it showed me how to spend $1,000 on google adwords in 90 days. But seriously its a good way to build credability for the SEM industry, I just hope that people think that an SEM with that certification can get them top results in a google organic results. Me personally I only work on my own sites and really dont use any PPC, so its not really a big deal for me. I think that it maybe a good idea to get started and learn, since I have done adwords in the past with decent success.
