This really isn't anything new peolple have been writing and sharing information with "visible" links to note ownership for years, a simple format change from html to pdf, really doesn't change anything. It's just alot easier to add a pdf than attempting to re-format a web page to a new site design.
In addition, it's alot hard to remove your link of ownership than html.
Obviously the information being posted would need to be "of value" the the reading to have the potential of being posted on their website.
If just an ad for your business people will read and trash.
A free eBook, course, tutorial, or some other added-value information, that would add "depth of topic" to other websites in your area of interest would produce the desirable effect.
