Danny Sullivan Starting His Blog

Hi All,

Found this on Pandia and thought it was worth the 'heads-up'

Quote:
Danny Sullivan leaves Search Engine Watch and starts his own blog on search engines and search engine marketing.

He will now launch a new search engine blog called Search Engine Land.

According to Danny & Co the new site will present “original content covering developments in the search spaced, daily blog posts, the daily email newsletter SearchCap, as well as a SearchCap Monthly.

Hmmmmm

Quote:
What’s most interesting, though, is the fact he has Chris Sherman and Barry Schwartz on board. If this means that Chris and Barry will stop writing for Search Engine Watch as well, the SEW site will be in big trouble, as these three are among the most important contributors to that site.

Yes very ineteresting, although I'll still make my daily surf there.

Quote:
Search Engine Land is bound to become one of the most read blogs on search engine and searching as soon as it is launched on December 11.

Yea, now I'll be up to 16 daily forums. There just isn't enough time in the day!

Well one thing is for sure - those guys are never at a loss for words.

Personally, Im all blogged out - too much noise, too little substance.

Jon... I am with you... I don't even use the shout box here at SEO Chat. I think blogs are valuable to some, but find them to be nothing but noise for me. Bottomline: blogs are for the folks that love gossip and online relationships.

Believe me guys, I DO NOT have the time for blogs. I use Technorati, Del.icio.us, and Google alerts to weed through what I want, and even then barely read the alerts themselves, let alone the articles they refer.

I visit two blogs, Matt Cutts and Tim Meyer. But soon to be one more, Danny Sullivan, as long as he gives away valuable info like the other two.

Try putting cynicism behind and take a look. A lot of valuable info comes from there.

ps. And when I say forums, I don't mean blogs.
(SEOChat, SERoundtable, SEW, WMW, SEORefugee, Search Engine Forum, Tecnorati, Del.icio.us, several Google Rep forums, Yahoo Rep forums and a few others. I RSS feed them to my Google homepage and pick what I want, but I also have Google Alerts setup to go to my outlook, and filters setup there to notify me when the rules are met.

Plan your work and work your plan. I've learned way too much using this method, and it works flawlessly.
