Corey Rudl was killed in car accident!
I just received news from Perry Marshall that Corey Rudl of Internet Marketing Center was killed yesterday in a car accident in San Jose, California...
It is a shocking news.. Corey is the pioneer in internet marketer and entrepreneur. He shows 1000's of people how to turn internet into a viable business ventures.. The news is really shocking, I couldn't believe it. I was deeply sadden. For many of us who is a part of the internet community, Corey is one of the most respected and most successful internet marketer.. Really sorry sorry for him.. Life is so fragile. So for today at least, let's turn off our computers, hug our loved ones, call our friends, donate to the charity.. Life is so unpredictable. Never take it for granted.. value your life, your loved ones, and those surrounding you.. May Corey rest peacefully... |

Yeah, that is very sad. He was probably the most well-known name in the business.

Very sad new, I agree.
I posted in one of the other forums too. Didn't know which one to put it the information in but I knew it didn't belong in the Google optimization forum.
I met Cory in 1999 at my first Internet marketing conference in Las Vegas. Of the many presenters there, he was the only one besides Marlon Sanders who impressed me with his knowledge. He gave me my first exporsure to Internet marketing as discipline and added a lot of credidility to an often much maligned industry. He seemed like a very nice and genuine guy. Very sad. Our best wishes to the family of Mr. Rudl. Despite what anyone may have thought of him; he could market and sell like few others.
I find it a bit disturbing that this is the only (real) thread that seems to have appeared on this subject (here at SEO chat) and that so few posted in response to it. http://www.nbc4.tv/news/4562562/detail.html Last edited by Gr8ted3s : June 3rd, 2005 at 11:02 PM. Reason: added link... |

Yes this is really sad news. To say that he was a visionary and a great man of exceptional talent, would be making an understatement. May his soul rest in peace. Our sincere condolences go out to his wife and friends.

Very Sad News
I was shocked to hear the news - I was actually about to tell a friend to check out some of his work on long sales letters when I found out.
Really puts everything we struggle to do in some perspective.... Corey our thoughts go with you.... Paul |

No apology necessary Wit, I thought for certain that his name was one of the better known in this genre. I was just commenting on how surprising it was to me that so few people had responded to the post. It is bothersome to think that we are all to busy to care about the reality that exists outside of cyberspace. |

Kinda shows us just how mortal we are after all eh?
Money and stuff can't save us from death. We have to make full use of the time we have here and live life to the max. |

Pardon me 'Wit', but if you are in to Internet marketing and in these 'Forums', you should be knowing about Corey - no matter where you are located! For your information, I am myself not from the US, in fact quite a few miles away from their international borders.

That's always Wit's excuse...leave him alone, he's mired in SEO chat and whereas HE has no life, we're all better because of it ;)

RIP Corey. You touched and enriched the lives of thousands of strangers too, all over the world.
I was just a subscriber to his newsletter but still feel very sad. :-( The Internet community has lost a thought leader. Rakesh Jaipur, India |
