recently saw thisadvert on google.com from
privatedomainhost.com. They onlycharge $9.95 to submit your site to over 800,000 searchengines. I received full report of the submission and felt it was quite a good deal. The only problem i noticed is that certain engines did not allow registration. I contacted their sales department to find out why and was instructed that there may be restrictions to certain sites as they may not include the same keywords etc. Does anyoneknow how to get posted in all these engines. I have seen many places whre the ads are there even if there is no relevance, mainly mlm stuf Thanks internetguru wannabe |

Don't be taken in by this. It is not a good idea to have these kinds of places submit your site to however many se's they advertise. There are only a few that matter anyway (Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc.), and none of the search engines need to be submitted to, as they will find your site as long as there are links to it somewhere. Directories, on the other hand, should be submitted to, but do so by hand - not by automation. dmoz.org and lists of other directories can be found by searching here in this forum or in your favorite search engine.

google + yahoo = over 90% of search traffic...they are both free to submit to. the spiders will pick up your links from directories and whatnot. even just registering your site in your sig and as your home page on forums will help it get indexed quicker...
these forums are rather active with lots of fresh new content so spiders like to come by these types of sites often |
