Article Discussion: Teoma – The Superior Search Engine?

One search engine that really caught my attention at the search engine strategies conference in Chicago was Teoma. Teoma is the search engine that powers Ask Jeeves, also known as Ask.com. Teoma has made several improvements to its engine over the past year have drastically increased its indexing and the quality of results generated. They have a unique method of ranking sites that Teoma likes to call “authority.” In addition, they have a Teoma toolbar and many of the advanced search features that other search engine have.

Teoma is a search engine, it crawls the Web. It will find your site for free over time.

Indeed, Teoma is not a directory and this article perhaps should be moved to a more relevant category. Having said that, the article is a good overview of Teoma and its technology.
