Villa and Apartment holiday website needs review..

Okay, I have been reading these site reviews, and putting it off, but I will like to hear from people on how I can increase the number of visitors to my business website.

    Worldwide Holiday Homes
    www.holiday-rentals.uk.com

I would like people's review on the website. It's my first attempt, which has taken me a year to get it looking like it does know.. So be nice

ok your title tag is too long, shorten it to 60 characters.

Use text links on the bottom or somewhere as alternate navigation for the quick search drop down.

It looks nice, clean, and professional.
It does not appear to be SEO
You may want to figure out your main keywords and SEO it.

Rusty. Thanks for the link. It was a very useful thread. I found out I do not have a robots.txt file, and they were other areas which I have had a look at.

Is 60 characters correct? Not that I'm doubting you, but the majority of my competition have the same number of words, if not more.

If Google's main area is the 'title tag' then by using 60 characters I would expect a lower position than I currently am?

    Thanks

Hi Gail. Thanks for your comments.

I am new to SEO but I am learning with help from the people on here. I dont feel that the number of visitors is adequate for the type of business that I am .

If I do not have a robots.txt what will have happened. I have noticed that I am not listed on MSN, Lycos, etc. Is that because of no robots.txt file?

    Thanks
    Darren

I think Google only reads the 1st 60 char. of the title. The rest is ignored. The same concept for the decription and keywords but the unknown number is more than 60. Some will say Google doesn't read the description but Google has used my description in the www2 and www3 before.

Darren the "robots" tag only matters if you are not wanting robots to index your site. Having no robots tag will not hurt you. I will do a complete exam of your site and make some code and architecture suggestions if you like, of course you could always hire my company lol shameless plug
