    Question Site Review: http://www.imagesinthebackcountry.com

I'm just a amateur photographer trying to sell a few prints via the web. I've posted my site on some of the photography sites, but I wanted to get a different set of eyes here (non-photography people). Basically I'm looking for a general critique. Focusing on design, grammar, function, ease of purchasing, and of course SEO.

    The site: imagesinthebackcountry.com

    Thanks for looking...

The site is very easy-to-use and the quality of the photography is top-notch. Perhaps the biggest opportunity here is content. The content on each of the category pages is reprinted on the homepage. The category pages should have unique content - and the content should be expanded so that you can target keywords.

I knew the content was a bit sparse. Since my stroke, trying to come up with more words can be tough at times. I'll see if I can expand a bit. I really appreciate taking the time to reply.

Ah. I'm a bit newer on the forum than you so I didn't know about your situation. Let me know in this thread if you need any help with keyword identification or just a second set of eyes for proofreading.

    Best of luck!

I went ahead and "watered down" my home page collection descriptions, and focused the description/keywords on the individual portfolio pages. Any better?

    Thanks again, Adam.

Much. I like that the descriptions are now not exact duplicates of the content found on the portfolio pages.

There is still opportunity to expand the content on the portfolio pages. In doing so, consider what you would want one of these pages ranking for. For example, on the Landscape page, you would have a better chance of ranking for "landscape photography for sale" if you included that word on the page. Heck, if you're not feeling up to creating more content, you might want to just change the header tag to read this. It's a much more relevant, and easier-to-rank-for phrase than just "landscape."

That makes sense. I could/should include a line about purchasing on each of the portfolio pages. I already do that on the gallery pages. I may edit the headers as you suggested to. I do that on my home page, but never really thought about doing that on the internal pages. I do want those pages to be ranked better (in most cases) better than my home page.
