Feedback for Links.com "How To" site
Hi everyone,
Looking for feedback on my restart on Links.com. What I am aiming for is a blog with general interest (because of the nature of my organic visitors), good content, fast performance with a minimalist look that works on modern screens and mobile devices. Of course, I am trying to build traffic so that I can eventually monetize the site. Since Google indexes my site regularly I am already getting requests from guest bloggers, one of whom I have already posted. Is this a good idea? Thanks for any feedback.

It's a good idea if the content is legit and the source site is trusted and an authority. It can help both you and the blogger.

Having guest posters is great for a couple of reasons, but only if its done correctly and for the right reasons!
For example, I love having people guest post on my sites because:
1. It saves me having to post as often.
2. You gain views from different types of people.
3. As long as your only posting quality and unique content, its great for seo!
But yeah, to add to what Josh said, you need to make sure you only accept guest posts which offer unique quality to your blog and make sure people are not linking out to sites which are not healthy.
One concern I see with your blog is that the posts on the home page are all over the place in terms of subject, so maybe adding some categories to the blog would help not only give your readers more of what they are looking to read, but to also help show google what's what on the site!?
Also keep an eye out for people simply posting the same content over the web, which your blog could be a target for as it has a toolbar PR4 which will attract spammers, so just keep an eye on it all and guest posting should help you with a good flow of unique content.

Thanks much for the advice and comments.
There is a category list at the bottom of the Blog. It would be nicer to put it somewhere at the top and I will work on some modification that will still be smartphone friendly. The blogs make good use of tags as well as related blogs plugin which hopefully help gain some traction until I have the category problem figured out.
Right now, I have received a few guest blogs. I have accepted one that seemed reasonable and non-spammy. It takes time to review and communicate with the guest bloggers but I agree, it is probably worth the effort.
Thanks again for the feedback. Much appreciated.
