I am trying to rank for my targeted keywords and i also started blogging recently but i can not rank for my selected keywords. I used to have alexa rank around 500K not it is over 5m I don't know if i am doing something wrong for on page seo. my site is rossdigital.co.uk

Look at your stats - when did traffic drop off and did it take a dive at one point in time? And was that mainly from Google or across the board?

I would hazard a guess that it is a combination of Panda / Thin Content / Duplicate Content.

The first product I checked, I selected a string of text and searched it. That string came up on multiple sites. The panda update hit sites like this that aren't adding any significantly unique value of their own.

I understand what you trying to say but if you have website like mine it will be duplicate content because of product spec details you can't change spec details of Olympus D-735 Silver Digital Camera like half original spec details and half asus gaming laptop Also if you try to write spec details and marketing description of over 3k products hmmmm is it possible you think? NOOOO. So what i am focusing on to is category meta title, meta description h1-h5 tags and some marketing description (category keywords focused) on bottom of category page. I also have blog page which is 100% unique. So am i on the right way for on page SEO? I know i will rank better if i have fresh written product description but at the end of the day it is technology products you can not change spec details of it but when you search for some long tail keywords i.e cheap laptop hard drive i am on page 2 for my home page.
