Pay-Per-Click Adversiting (PPC)

this is when you base your advertising costs on the number of times that someone clicks on an advertisement/banner/link.

This is good versus monthly costs because you literally pay for results. Google's Adsense and Adword programs are based on this premise where you pay per click. Google allows you to bid on keywords per click, some may be .10cents and others may be 5.00$ per click for the more popular words.
