Tracking by Google, Yahoo or Keywordmax??
I've been speaking with Yahoo about their 'Marketing Console' and 'Search Optimizer", I finally just got my Google Analytics account activated, and I use Direct Tracks for our affiliate marketing which also has a feature called Keywordmax/ROItracker and BidDirector.
Which is the easiest? Which is the most accurate? Which would you use? Thanks in advance. Gary |

Believe it or not I would say Yahoo is the easiest and most accurate (I just had a discussion with another SEM guy that agrees) and I would go with Yahoo, not to say that I would throw the baby out with the bath water meaning you have nothing to lose by keeping google as an option, but Yahoo would be my first choice. Just my opinion of course.

Why? Have you used all 3? The only benefit I see from Yahoo is that they monitor their ppc's every 5-10 minutes. |

I'm not usually one to spend time posting negative feedback on a company, but KeywordMax has really put me in a difficult position with one of my clients.
I previously had experience with this company at a prior client, and didn’t really have much experience with using their software, because I couldn’t get it to work. It never effectively downloaded all of the keywords from all of the different PPC engines. In addition, they put a cap of 150,000 actions in a month for the account that we signed up fr, and a 5000 KW campaign that is update twice a day expires in 15 days, then your charged an rediculous amount after that for overages. All that aside, I kept using them, despite the client I was working for in-house had many employees complaining daily about them, especially their customer service and never getting anyone on the phone. I never really experienced this problem because I dealt with the KeywordMax division, and they with the Direct Tracks division. I even spoke with the head IT guy on several occasions and even the owner on 2 occasions. Now jump ahead to current day. I advised a client to purchase a year agreement to save the 17%. This came to around $1700. After a few days I realized the software could not handle my campaigns, and emailed them to cancel it. Mind you I never used their “trial period”. After many emails, dozens of phone calls and a lot of stone-walling, despite the fact I have requested a refund several times on the phone and via email, they won’t budge. The worst part for me is that I am very active in PPC forums and have recommended KeywordMax many times, even despite other members bashing them for the same reason I have listed above. My bottom line is this; use their trial, don’t pay for anything but a monthly subscription if you do use them, and don’t ever have a problem. This company is extremely unprofessional and still working out the bugs. GaryTheScubaDiver |
