This summit seems overpriced any thoughts?
I saw an ad for this PPC summit in my local paper. It seems a little over priced to me. I'm sure that depends on what one wants to learn I suppose. Anyone attend this before? Thoughts? Comments?

I will be attending SES San Jose. I am told that it ranks as one of the best along with the Search Marketing Expo. I think that there is alot of support for SES and it will turn out to be a great asset to anyone who attends.

I attended the Adwords intermed. advanced training in Feb and found it helpful - and cheap.

I've been to SES, even spoke at SES London last year, and have been invited to speak at this ppc summit in London in March, which I plan to do.
The difference is that these are actually PPC pros, and although I haven't been to this one, I can tell you that SES has quite a bit of self-promotion rather than learning. I think that with the assurance of a non-promotion style agenda its well worth the money. In London I plan on teaching keyword weighting, tracking keyword to conversion, building landing pages with elemental testing to drastically improve conversion, and finally how to manipulate the SE's quality scores. Definitely not for beginners, and definitely not self-promotion. As far as I can see these individuals have decided to deliver something people can actually use, as an integral part of SEO. I've always said, if your not doing ppc with seo, then your not doing seo. Talk to those that have attended SES PPC seminars and decide. GaryTheScubaGuy |
