Regarding Overture

Hello

I run variety of campaigns in Overture & Google through client center.
People tells that google performs 2 times better than overture.
But in my case it is reverse, Overture is performiong much better than the google.
Could you please suggest me what could be the reason.

Define "performing". More clicks? Better CTR? Lower CPC? Higher conversion rate?

Infact I too have the same feeling. Ofcourse in terms of CTR it is always overture.

We get to see some people on our site & atleast see if your product sells. With G it could take number of months to know if your product can be sold or not.

There are a lot of people who keep saying G is the best & the only thing we need is to learn how to advertise in G. But in my opinion G is to some extent waste of energy(may not be money).

My Overture performs much better both as CPC and Conversion for the keywords I run and what I target. I actually get sales every day never spending more than 20 cents on Overture while Google requires a minimum of of 30-40 cents just to have the same KWs turned on. I can literally bid 10 cents on Overture and convert 1/100 for $10 spent per sale ( I am mostly dealing with sales in the $50-100 commission/sale range) while even if I got the same conversion % I would lose money in google.

A number of reasons for this

1) More people just use google than just use overture, so its less competitive.

2) Google uses add relevancey and performance as well as bid price so, poorly wrirtten and grouped campaigns will not fair as well on google as on overture.

Historically i have found oveture more subject to click fraud than google though.

I am using google adword and Overture PPC.

I have not seen FRAUD PPC like Oveture. Never use Overture.

I Disable Content match, Idea was to bring visitor to my site Only who are looking for Specifc Key-phrase from Yahoo search ONLY.

But I got following clicks on my log file.

I complain about thaT TO Authority, but No one their to solve my proble.

I am really sorry for yahoo PPC..

1. Adwords throttles
2. Adwords has a "Quality Score" that effects your CPC
3. Less Ad Fraud = Higher CPC costs

(use what works for you speciific situation!)

Although using Google + another PPC (YSM, Miva etc.) leaves you open to click pimping.
